Modded games and events mod#
This is the successor to my VIET Events mod from CK2, and I intend to adapt as many of the events from there as possible. Learn history with Historical Context tooltips that provide information about what inspired some of the events - sometimes, reality is stranger than fiction! (These can be disabled via game rule for those who find it immersion breaking.).Compatible with almost anything since it doesn't touch any vanilla files - even with overhaul mods, you can via game rule disable events that reference things specific to our medieval world that wouldn’t make sense in other time periods or universes (like fantasy and sci-fi conversion mods).Game rule to disable sillier events for those who don't like them, with three levels to choose from: Balanced (Default), Serious (Restricted), and All Events (Full).Explore new decisions, character interactions, activities, and event chains.Over 666 new flavor events to experience!.

I welcome any and all feedback and I hope to continue adding more and more events in every update!įeel free to use my work in your mods - all I ask is that I am credited and (if possible) to give me a heads up.Īs an aside, I was originally going to name this mod Events About Simple Things as a kind of “rebranding,” but honestly I realized I was too attached to the VIET name, so I’ve decided to stick with it, although the acronym now stands for Very Immersive Events and Tales to emphasize the mod's focus on flavor events (my other mod for culture and region specific flavor will hopefully come later). I hope the lessons I learned from my eight years (with a hiatus) of modding CK2 will help me deliver a fun experience for any players interested in my mods. These events add immersion and a diversity of experiences in between wars and vanilla’s event chains, and cover mundane minutiae ranging from small talk with courtiers and eating local cuisine to epic tales about love, philosophy, and the human condition.Īlongside many new events, I intend to adapt many of the events from the old VIET for CK2 as possible. Very Immersive Events and Tales (VIET), the sequel to VIET Events for CK2, is a flavor mod that adds a vast collection of events about everyday life to spice up your game. "Let my delight be the country, and the running streams amid the dells - may I love the waters and the woods, though I be unknown to fame."

Modded games and events Patch#
We'll have to wait for December 7 when the anniversary event starts to know for sure, as well as to find out just what is going on with "Dares of Eternity." One thing we do know for certain is that the iconic exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn will be returning as part of the event, and based on the hints Bungie devs have been dropping, I'm expecting a pretty spicy comeback.(Released 12/25/21, compatible with vanilla patch 1.4.X) Xur's presence, as well as the mention of an "adventurer who traded his humanity" leads me and others to speculate that Grasp of Avarice may finally reveal the mysterious vendor's backstory, a point of speculation since Destiny's release way back in 2014. You can make out a huge ship's cannon and anchor in the treasure horde, leading me to conclude that these images are screenshots of the dungeon, and that it will see you go from the Cosmodrome to the extra-dimensional Nine Realms. Previous preview material on the dungeon referred to it as a "pirate-themed" celebration of Destiny 1's legendary loot cave. At this point, I'm pretty confident that the screenshots are all depicting Grasp rather than Dares. I was initially unsure whether these screenshots were of the upcoming dungeon, the free matchmade "Dares of Eternity" activity that is also coming, or a mix of the two. "Reveal a tale of riches and regret as you follow an adventurer who traded his humanity for treasure." "Plunder the new three-player dungeon inspired by famed Cosmodrome loot caves of yore," reads the Steam page's description of the Grasp of Avarice dungeon. This final screenshot shows the interior of a cave in the Cosmodrome, with cosmetic, background versions of Destiny's iconic engrams strewn about.
